We Are From Dust
We Are From Dust (‘WAFD’) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the transformative power of interactive art to public spaces.
WAFD believe it’s time to instigate the conversation with the mainstream art world that art can be more interactive, participatory and actively engaging. To that end, it will bring the incredible interactive artwork inspired by or created for Black Rock City out of the dust and into the broader world, demonstrating by example that the Burning Man school of art has earned its rightful place — and represents a significant movement — in art history.
WAFD will achieve this goal by engaging in a number of projects, including gallery exhibitions, sculpture parks, museum shows, art festivals, artist-in-residencies and more. These projects will be aligned with Burning Man’s 10 Principles, and will demonstrate the transformative power of the values they represent.
